Denis Schubert is a Senior Engineer at Bartley Consultants Ltd with over 35 years Civil Engineering experience. He has a transportation engineering background where he has been team leader or project manager on numerous projects in the Auckland region and beyond including Asia and the Pacific Islands. This has included investigation, design and construction supervision of urban and rural roads, highways and civil works including pedestrian, cycle and vehicle safety and efficiency projects. His services provided also include road safety audits, traffic impact assessments, resource consent reviews, economic evaluations, peer reviews of design and consent applications.
As project manager for numerous safety and minor improvement projects for Auckland Transport, Denis has undertaken projects from scheme to detail design and construction including walking and cycling, traffic management, road pavements, streetlights, stormwater, traffic signals, guard rails, road safety audits, traffic resolutions and cost estimates.
His recent projects include Dairy Flat Highway/Coatesville Riverhead Highway roundabout, Chamberlain Road drop out repairs, Bethells Road pavement rehabilitation and safety improvements and Mass Action Pedestrian Improvement (MAPI) work sites (36). Other large intersection projects have included the Mt Eden/Balmoral Roads, Pah/Mt Albert Roads, Sandringham/St Lukes Roads and Te Atatu Road Corridor Improvements.
Urban design improvement works include the award-winning Fort Street Shard Space and Kitchener Street South Streetscape Upgrade projects. Denis is a Chartered Professional Engineer and a Chartered Member of Engineering New Zealand.
